The app is quite good, a bit expensive, but no more than other streaming apps. However, it’s missing a key feature: you can’t see a complete list of all an artist’s songs. If you don’t remember the song title or which album it belongs to, you might never find it again.
The latest update isn’t great. I listen to music to sleep because I have tinnitus, but Spotify keeps closing by itself. I even have a new phone, so this shouldn’t be happening. The same issue happens to my partner’s daughter. Also, when playing music through a Google speaker, the sound constantly cuts out. At $21/month, the app should be flawless.
Honestly, this app is the best—I love everything about it! Unlimited music of all genres, it’s incredible. But there are way too many ads, almost every 10 songs, which is disappointing. Also, not all songs have lyrics, and I find lyrics very useful to understand or translate songs. It would be great to bring them back. Otherwise, I love everything! (Sorry for the long message).
I’m a huge fan of this app! The student plan is affordable, you can create playlists, and the music selection is massive. But lately, there have been too many bugs. The music stops when I open another app, forcing me to restart Spotify, and then my song starts over. It even crashes my phone. This is getting really annoying, and I hope they fix it soon.
There’s a sound volume issue on Android Auto. Since the last update, the volume is lower. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but nothing changed. The automatic volume leveler is turned off. For tracks that had a high output volume, I now have to increase the volume by 3–4 levels in my car to get the same effect. No issues with Waze, for example. Using a Poco F6.
I’m giving two stars because I’m really disappointed. Before, we could listen to our music without issues. But since the last update, we can’t play songs from our favorite artists properly. Everything is shuffled, and once you pick an artist, you can’t directly select a song—you have to wait for it to come up. You can only skip six times per day, and you can’t go back to the previous track.
Update: More and more bugs on WiFi with a Samsung A8… Ugh… I’ve been using the premium version for a while, and the music catalog is great. But like many others have pointed out, the app has been extremely buggy lately, especially on WiFi. This is unacceptable for such a big platform. And on top of that, they just raised the price… They need to fix it ASAP!
